OUR RATING: Besides using it in general household living areas we have found that the Airwise Photocatalytic Air Purifier is great for areas where HEPA or Carbon Based Air Cleaners can not be used such as Kitchens, Laundry Areas, Garbage Areas, and areas where humid air can be found which may harbor fungi, mold and microorganisms like bacteria. Photocatalytic Oxidation Air Purifiers like the Airwise are great for odor removal and works great in moist air areas.  We placed a Airwise in a kitchen 200 sq.ft. (8 ft. Ceiling) that has a dog crate and dog food area. The next morning, you could not smell pet odors or any cooking odors in the kitchen and the air smelled fresh. We also placed a Airwise in a room (140 sq. ft.) used by a pipe smoker and the next morning no trace of pipe smoke odors in the room. It can even be used in bathrooms, but because bathrooms are such small areas, a light timer should be used to turn the unit on and off. We are pleased with it's operation and besides changing the lamp module once a year it is maintenance free! Photocatalytic Oxidation Air Purifiers are a very promising technology!!
